LPOS-MAG magnetic card reader

LPOS-MAG readers are designed for professional use and secure reliability with constant intensive use. A distinctive and very important feature is the wide range of speeds pulling the magnetic card, which makes it extremely easy for any user, including the unprepared ones.
The reader consumes little energy. This allows you to use it without an external power source, even when working with the RS232 interface.
The readout resource is more than 500 000 readings.

Compatible with IBM PC

These magnetic card readers communicate with devices compatible with IBM PC, through the PS / 2 interface, USB or RS232. Our magnetic stripe card readers read magnetic cards of ISO7916 and ISO7812 types, as well as ISO7816 card types.

Main functions

The main card reader functions are:

- conversion of magnetic domains polarization on the magnetic strip of the plastic card into digital data;
- collection of the converted data in the internal memory of the built-in controller;
- data processing;
- data transfer to the PC.

Performance

LPOS-MAG card readers are designed for professional use and can be used 24 hours a day. It features a wide range of transmission speeds, which makes reading cards extremely easy to use, even for unexperienced users. Series LPOS-MAG are devices with low power. This allows them to be used without an external power source.

Usage

Magnetic stripe card readers are often used in an environment where cardholder data verification is required. Here are some examples:

1. Banking.
Checking the debit and credit card; Cardholder data verification. The LPOS-MAG reader can be attached directly to the computer of an employee who handles magnetic cards of the clients.


2. Automation of sales and service operations.
You can authenticate personnel and grant access to cash operations, manage employee time metrics and use card readers to read customer cards.

3. Access to security.
Our LPOS-MAG readers are great for authenticating employees by their IDs.

Magnetic cards

card.pngThe main function of the magnetic card reader is to convert magnetic polarization domains on a magnetic strip into digital data, to accumulate these data in internal memory and to process and transmit it to a computer. The Reader works correctly with the Hi and Low cards. Depending on the tasks of the system, the reader can be selected with a magnetic head for reading: 
- the first and second track;
- the first, second and third track.
