Programmable keyboard LPOS-032

A series of LPOS-keyboards was developed for intensive data input. POS-keyboard LPOS-032 is an excellent solution for automating processes in self-service stores and retail stores. Our series of LPOS-keyboards is ideal for creating POS-systems. You can program each key and assign it to a specific function. The keyboard supports 4 layers of layout, so you can program each key in each layer.

LPOS-032 keyboards can be programmed (configured) on all Windows operating systems: 32-bit and 64-bit. The PS / 2 keyboard in Windows is programmed using the driver. The keyboard setup program is very simple, intuitive and easy to use. This speeds up the configuration process and eliminates unnecessary routine operations. Loading the configuration of the keyboard takes less than a minute. Loading of the keyboard layout takes place with one click: connect the keyboard> click the "Upload to device"> the configuration loads.

We have simplified the electrical circuit of our LPOS-keyboard and balanced its final cost. All components are installed on a qualitive double-sided fiberglass FR-4. Internal memory for storage of keyboard layouts is at least 8 KB. We achieved a high level of performance of our POS keyboards LPOS-032 using the full travel mechanical Cherry MX1A (Germany) or high quality analog. The resource of pressing of each button is not less than 50 million.

Electromechanical access key

The operation of the mechanical key is quite simple:

- in mode 1 - the leftmost position - the keyboard is disabled and does not respond to keystrokes;

- other positions - activation of different levels of layout;

- in mode 2, rotating the key results in sending a preprogrammed sequence as well as for keys

Features of keyboards with an electromechanical key:

- only in versions of keyboards with interface PS / 2 or USB; - PS / 2 version does not have an external PS / 2 port for the standard keyboard;

- in mode 1, the jump keys to other levels are blocked, because this function is now controlled by the key.

Touch key i-Button

The programmable keyboard supports the functioning of the Touch key, which allows you to distribute the POS keys of the keyboard in groups according to different levels of access.
The main advantages of the Touch Key are:

- ease of adding new keys;
- the ability to add new keys directly to the workplace;
- the ability to delete or transfer a key from one keyboard to another.

Keyboard with Touch makes it possible to choose one of four types of access when adding a new key:

- For all users;
- For a group of users;
- Administrator;
- Super administrator.

Each key on the keyboard must belong to one of four groups. When the "For all users" key is activated, the keys of this group will be available on the keyboard, that is, if the key is activated, other groups will not be available, and clicking on them will be ignored.

The fingerprint scanner

For keyboards with PS / 2 interface, the software interaction with the fingerprint scanner is carried out through a special library that is supplied by POSUA upon request. These keyboards use TCEBB scanners with a built-in 32-bit ARM processor to implement the pattern-matching algorithms directly inside the scanner and with built-in memory for storing print templates. The scanner in keyboards with PS / 2 interface can work in two modes: "protected" and "transparent". In the "secure" mode, the fingerprint reading and its comparison with the template is performed by the ARM-processor built into the scanner. Only the result of the comparison is sent to the computer by the PS / 2 interface: "yes" or "no". In "transparent" mode, the print is scanned and sent to the computer for processing by a special library. There are libraries for Windows and Linux. The advantages of the "protected" mode of the scanner operation include the unpretentiousness to the OS in which the keyboard works. Scanners do not need libraries in this mode. The disadvantages are: low speed of comparing the print with the template and, as a consequence, limited (no more than 20) number of stored in the scanner's templates for comparison.

Scanners installed in the keyboard with a USB interface are seen by the operating system as a keyboard-independent USB device. To control the scanning array, the UPEK TCD21A chip is used here. Prints scanners in keyboards with USB interface can work only in "transparent" mode.
